I just received all of Figarti's new Russian stuff. I am very pleased with everything, they did a very good job on the Russian figures, sculpts are good and the painting has a nice feel to it, worn out and realistic, guns and accessories have good proportion.

The vehicles and artillery are of course weathered in Figarti's gritty style and are excellent. The treads on the tractor are exceptional, very fine with great detail. Alex

Addendum...I am looking at the standing figure on my desk from the EFR-018 Under Fire set and I believe it is the best Russian figure I have seen, I really like it. Alex

Thanks for the heads-up Alex! I also orderd them all and I am waiting for their arrival with high expectations!

I will post full details by Tuesday on our website and email newsletter. This will also coincide with all dealers receiving the same info via email.

Thanks, Matt

I love the Russian tractor unit but is there going to be a summer version does anybody know? With regards to the horse drawn limber team - are the horses in resin or metal?

I am not sure about the artillery piece being towed, should the armour plate at the bottom of the gun not be raised when towed or is the gun meant to be a stand alone piece usually and this is just a marketing photo?

The plate should be raised when towed, but it is fixed in the model. It can be displayed in the firing position with the add on crew, and it can be displayed towed, but you have to ignore the armour plate in the wrong position I guess. Other than that, the gun and the limber team are exceptional. I will check with Figarti on your other questions, I will have an answer by Monday on your other questions. Alex

I spoke to Peter, they originally tried the horses in metal, but there were weight and shipping problems which forced them to be done in resin. They are not sure about a summer version of the Russian Tractor.

As far as future Russian releases......well..........I think everyone will be happy campers.

A couple of larger photos for those who have an interest in these sets... The photos are a little too dark but may be helpful to someone.

It's great to see Figarti do something as bold as creating the same old WW2 German stuff that everybody else does. These Russian sets are just great. Are there any new ideas brewing on the Pacific front? That's another great theater of operations that no other manufacturer does anything about. Good for Figarti!
