Are going to choose between WW1 and ACW and how many will be buying both?.

Rob

WW1 for me ,Their are so many conflicts and ranges too choose from
and Acw would be a fair way down the list for me.If I win
lotto then all bets are off.

Rob,

I collect both ACW and WWI from different makes and have already decided to buy the CW series from K&C UK and the Crusaders/Saracens. With more Germans and the Paras still to make an appearance, I may only buy a select one or two ACW figures. The Naps look good but don't really want to start yet another series.

Must resist.......

Rgds

I will buy the German Staff car and some of the personality figures. I don't wnat a whole lot of marching figures when Britains have already produced a whole range of excellent fighting poses.

Pierre,

You ask a good question. I have been overwhelmed by the new ACW and WW I figures. They are truly wonderful. I felt myself weakening and believing I must collect them, until............

I saw those great Napoleonics!!!! Seeing the Napoleonics has shaken me back to my senses! I now think I can resist the ACW and WW I figures. I will continue to focus on the K&C lines I already collect: Napoleonics, Battle of the Bulge, and Ancient Egyptians. Whew!!!! That was a close one! :D

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

WW I only. I'm buying the marching figures and the Bavarian corporal.

This is a real quandry for me.I want them all,but the highlight of the year for me is yet to come in the shape of British paras.Maybe i'll cherry pick a few i like and keep cash in reserve?

I still have a little place in my budget for new series as I do not collect WWII and Napoleonics but I will find my wallet dry soon if it continues like that.

I also changed my way of collecting as I do not buy immediately everything that please me like I was doing before. As exemple, I am collecting Ancient Egypt line but purchase them only when the item is retired. The same for Crusaders and Saracens.

Accordingly, for now, I'll continue to buy the SOHK serie on a regular basis and add the others as long as they get retired.

Amitiés,
Pierre.

I might be tempted buy the ACW figures, but this depends on the size,i already have a ACW matt collection of various makers and most of these are 54mm!I know King and Country made concessions in the Crusader: Cross & Crescent range ,ie adopting a 54mm scale, instead of a 60mm scale, that went with the flow of the market.I dont really fancy having figures that are too oversize or that dont closely match, pedantic i know!
Maybe the ACW has been done to death and the initial figures dont seem to offer anything new, that hasnt been done before, slightly uninspiring if you ask me,they havent grabbed my attention and credit card like the Vichy french camels did:(
As regarding the WW1 sets i think i will leave them for now, unless some Gallipoli figures come out.But personally there just seems to be too many ranges comming out and surely some of the older ranges must be for the chop?

the benefit of a group of collector's is that there is always one member
that collect what he like's
most of us collect ww 2 some Napoleonic and Crusaders .
nauw one of us will collect ww 1 and a one the acw
great the be a member of the dutch K&C club .

WWI all the way. I have a number of ACW figures from Aeroart and truthfully my interest in that era has waned. Not sure why but it seems true in general since tourism is off in places like Gettysburg. There was a surge following the ken burns series, but now it seems to have ebbed.

I feel the same way as you. When I first heard that K&C were going to produce ACW I was going to give them ago. But my main theme is Napoleonics and those new figures are just too good to bypass for the sake of another series especially since display space is a premium.

Of course there's British Infantry to come some time this year as well, plus the latest sets from the SOHK are really really nice. Not to mention The Crimean War range, which I would like to get.......

Jeff

It'll be the WWI line for me. So that's Napoleonics, Crimean War, WWII vehicles and now WWI. Well, I'd better go and find the paper - I've got to get a second job.

I am with steveo on this one. I will buy select pieces if they are of the same scale but no leaders. NO WWI until they make an a good Alvin C York.

Shiloh,

Your commitment to purchase no WW I figure until they make a good Alvin C. York is spoken as true citizen of the great state of Tennessee! I admire your stance! ;)

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)
