So...is Conte Dead? (2 Viewers)

I think this is an ad for an "escort service" which is more likely then Conte starting a toy soldier business again!

looks like they are back to me. hooray!

I got an email from Conte today announcing their
" Back from the Dead" tour.......................................................

A tee shirt for the tour would be great, it can list all the ranges they plan on doing and the dates of release on the back, it would be a big seller, then you could have "Conte Heads" follow them around from show to show and camp out on the front lawn of whatever hotel the show is at.

Some see this as folly, I see it as a way to make money...........................:wink2:

No recieved email from him, new web site soon, new range of figures

Looking out of the window I've just seen a pig flying by..........

Akin to admiring an Old Master hanging on the wall. I now enjoy my collection of Conte figures for what they are. Timeless treasures.

Yeah I hear on the site is going to be some new figures for the newly released Britains 88mm gun....................... NOT [as Wayne would say]. Plus figures sculpted from measurement taken from Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster. Question - which do you believe the most in, Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster or Britains 88mm gun? I have seen pictures of all of them, but these pictures have been questioned!

Conte sets are great and will continue to be collectable, but it is over, by my estimates Richard has to be in his mid to late 80s and has not produced anything new for many years.

Let it go and just thank him for producing some great figures.

a future I would see would be for someone to take on the moulds he had and start production again, but that would be expensive and a brave person to outlay for the set up etc?

I'm sure that we've seem a few figures already that never made production the first time around.

Just look at the ranges produced. Some similarities in my view. Hardly surprising though.
