So, what's next...? (1 Viewer)

They tried that in San Diego once. Unfortunately the guy could not drive or park real well. CHP stopped him and gave him a lead citation.

I've seen the helicopter footage of that all right, KV. That was something else, wasn't it?! I think it was an M48 or an M60 that the guy managed to get his hands on - am I right in thinking he was a National Guardsman and that that's how he obtained access to the tank??

Cheers,

Molloy.

There was another case of that in Northern Ireland about 10 or 15 years ago, where a british army soldier who came from the local area, got pissed and drove a tank at night back to his family home:D:D:D Destroyed the road:D:D Happier endign than the guy above

I certainly believe that isn't something they were very proud of. No one wants to be in that position.

It's frightening all right what something like a tank or an APC can do in the wrong hands, or in the hands of someone who just isn't having a good day -really takes road rage to another level.

Check out this link for someone who took a little bit of a more relaxed approach to owning their own tank:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandela_Way_T-34_Tank

Now that is something to seriously aspire to as a collector - your very own 1:1 scale AFV!!

Cheers,

Molloy.
