So what's your next purchase from K&C? (1 Viewer)

The seven new Crimean War figures due out next month and hopefully some Napoleonics at the London show.

Jeff

Well hopefully if they are not all gone by the time I get around to purchasing one, the MP from the FOB range, the Austin Tilly D-Day (Have one Reserved), german walking wounded, german casualty, and german mg42 set, then hopefully next year will see the new bulge american and some german sets!:D

The hopefully when Andy brings out the D-Day and 30 Corps vehicles anext year:rolleyes:All og them, any and all Arnhem ets released next year, and dunkirk fob figs!:D

And any more European Buildings, and also might get church!:D:cool:

Well the Tiger looks like it's on a lot of peoples list, at this rate it won't be around long. Anyone going for those new HJ Normandfy figures?

Rob

The winter Tiger and a couple more CW TRL. At the London show I want to get the downed Lancer again for the CW. Also want to look at the Middle east building/terrain range to see if they will go with my JJD/Britains Sudan.

Andy

Probably just the casualty, mainly because of the Choo Choo and my Colonial wants.

Andy

Not really sure exactly which figure but it will be something from the Egyptian line- that line has pulled in front of my KC collecting order.

Yeah, I've been sucked in to this line as well. Chipping aay at them little bit, by little bit.

That will be easy to do my friend- couple reasons:

1.) The releases aren't every month- in fact- we're pushing a year now;
2.) The line doesn't have an "opposition" or "subset"- ie- you don't have to buy British and Germans- it's just Egyptians and more Egyptians. You also don't have spinoffs like- the RAF, OMG, etc.

I've moved this line to the forefront so that I can focus on the Figarti "Heavy Metal" :D without WW2 Figures bleeding my defense budget white.

Still am watching the Life of Jesus line- really beautiful figures- will be interested to see what kind of Romans he might do in connection with the line- gotta think they might be rather static poses though- guarding, sitting, etc. Nothing against the figures, it's just that there weren't legions ranked up in connection with those stories.

Good reasons for sure. I like the series, as you say, because you can keep up in various areas and the retirements aren't too drastic. Also, a lot of the earlier releases are still avialable for comparitively little dosh.

They also make a colourful contrast from olive drab, field gray and desert tan.

Would like to see him do some archers. Beyond that, I really don't know what he does- we have like 4 pharoahs I think. Could perhaps open the line up and do Hittite's, Babylonians, etc- just not sure how fiscally successful that would be.

I think the High Priest of Ra and the standing pharoah are easily some of the best individual pieces KC has ever done, in fact, at those price points, I don't think anyone has done any individual figure better-ever- they are just impressive.

must agree !!!!!! started this set a few years ago and my wife liked it so much that it is hers now .:D:D.....would like to see some new figures a little at a time just to keep it interesting........how about some peasants fishing by the Nile ......

....how about some peasants fishing by the Nile ......

Very good call!!! Always thought one of the Egyptian Nile boats would be neat but might be impractical because of fragility- still, they did it for the China Marines line so younever know................;)

So what's next on your list guys?. I was lucky enough to have four Bulge sets as presents from my inlaws this week, so I thought I'd add to these with ambulance, stretcher team and add-on artillery crew.

Have preordered the new Tiger for picking up in London

So what's on your shopping list?

Rob

A couple of the Crimea pieces, just waiting the release of the falling 17th Lancer before placing my order.

Then, unless something really exciting in the SOHK series comes along, I'll put K&C on hold until the long awaited Chinese Pirate Junk boat and/or opposition for the USN series is released, I think.

Any upcoming Naps :D:)

Me too ...... I need more cavalry, so hope to catch up with my missing NAPs over the next few months, before geeting a firing line of Gordons.

John

PS but I'll still get more artillery :D:D

Not sure. Going to the Hackensack Show next weekend so maybe a figure or two. Depends :)

What's that show like Brad, is it A big one?

Rob

I collect only medieval items, related to the period of the first three crusades. I just purchased the Desert Village Mosque/Temple from Treefrog for my ever-growing Crusades diorama and am waiting for their first shipment to arrive there, so they can mail mine to me. I've also ordered the Minaret that goes with the mosque, which is due at Treefrog some time in November. I'm anxiously awaiting the next Crusades release, which is supposed to come in November. I'll probably eventually get almost every new piece from that release.

History repeats itself! This guy really is a pretty neat character. You can just imagine him riding around, chasing down any Saracen with a flag and doing the guy in so he can add that banner to his collection of confiscated enemy flags. I hope the rest of the upcoming Crusades releases will be just as neat as this one!
