So with six days to go.... (1 Viewer)

I don't think we've had any Strictly Limited Rev. War stuff yet? About time I think!
O.C.

No No No, the defense budget cannot take a SL AWI piece- give the sons of the south or Union warriors their SL piece- no SL's for AWI please thank you!!

My luck it would be some really really cool SL piece of Washington crossing at Valley Forge and I would have to reallocate yet again, what I am going to do with the rest of my money this year. :D:p:D

Yes i guess the Crusaders could be in line for a revisit.Although it might be too early for more ACW.Perhaps some more D-day sets, perhaps some Brits?.

It would be nice to have a mid September release date for the Arnhem range. Nice for the anniversary (must mention it to the wife).:)

Very good idea mate,my anniversary is also in September.Lets both mention it to our wives and i'll see you for a drink outside the divorce court!

Rob

Mine on the 4th of September as well!

Also those in Chicago need to remember my birthday on the 25th so celebrate a few days early in Chicago!

Tony

Will you be celerbrating with a wee dram Tony!;)

Bits and pieces - Castles, bits and pieces of a castle diorama? Yes, please and a Bedford Lorry and a Dragon Wagon. Keep hope alive.

Churchill once said that the boys from england shall continue to fight into the night. I'm ashamed that we havent built our defenses earlier. Our long journey shall be won with the efforts on the streets with young men and old men with long grey beards.

How about a Crusader Tank!!!

Yeah, a Crusader Tank would be great.
How about a Matilda Mark1 for FoB? Would look nice alongside the Vickers.
Another tank I've always liked the look of (although in reality it was a piece of junk) is the Vallentine.

:rolleyes:Yeah Vallentine.Cruiser or for Normandy mabr a good ol' Cromwell. It would definately be nice to have another Matlda. but I'm the perfect date (so to speak) I'm cheap and easy!
O.C.

Yeah OC,
It's been said that I'm pretty cheap too - but I don't believe it.;)
There's an excellent book about the BEF and Dunkirk called "Fight To The Last Man" written by Hugh Sebag-Montefiore that includes some photos of knocked-out Matilda Mk1's. Not too sure which was worse for the poor guys who had to man them Matilda Mk1 or the Vickers.
Matilda Mk2 was a different AFV altogether, just a pity more of them weren't available to the BEF.

:rolleyes:yeah Hh! I read the the first type1 Matilda was well armored but armed only with a mchngun. Could charge it's way through about anything but couldn't do any thing once it got there.
Same with the Churchill thing could take incredable pounding because of it's thick armor but the 6#er gun waasn't that effective even against the later model Panzer IVs.
Hey thats an idea!! Not a disabled tank just badly beaten up but still ready for more!
O.C.

If its badly beaten up enough, then it could be used both as "ready for more" OR disabled and abandoned....;)
Were you thinking of any particular Tank?

I could always use a battered Matilda(same blue camo please!)

Rob

As Andy is on holiday next week (i think thats what i heard)perhaps Tony will be posting the Dispatches again?.
