Re: Complete K&C Normandy Village

Hi Dave

I have a few K&C Normandy village pieces from circa 2000, bought direct from K&C UK, but mine are grey with white washed highlights - no colours at all.Although I got the colour sheets with signage. Have these been hand painted?

Many thanks

Re: Complete K&C Normandy Village

Yes, they've been professionally painted (and look quite nice!).

Re: Complete K&C Normandy Village

Do you give free shipping and do you have the original boxes? Also Mike Miller would be interested to know that John Jenkins made these while working for KC.

Re: Complete K&C Normandy Village

Whoever painted this did a very nice job. I had the unpainted version and they weren't much to look at. I also believe that the boxes were ordinary shipping boxes so there's no benefit (or disadvantage) to not having the boxes.

I was thinking the same thing. Turned a useful, but fairly drab looking dio piece in to something a bit special. Nice job whoever the painter was.

And to clear up the mystery, I'm the painter of this one, thanks for the kind comments regarding my work.

This 8 piece set is spectacular, wonderfully sculpted and really, really comes to life when it is detailed out with the signage and painted with multiple colors..............

I have one of George's hand painted versions of this village, and I can vouch for the fact that it looks 100% better once George paints it for you.:)

Re: Complete K&C Normandy Village

With recommendations like that from Louis and Brad and fantastic painting by George, three good mates, one cannot help but think that these sets could be heading Downunder very shortly.
Cheers Howard
