I would agree as well. Also, the fact that when FL puts out a new release, most are large groups doing the same general activity. I find it better to have 12-20 different figures in a release all doing basically the same thing, ie, fighting, marching, ect. I don't really like when a new series of figures is a couple marching poses, a couple fighting poses and a couple just standing at attention. Maybe it is just me, but it seems better to have a release that shows the entire group involved in the same activity.

Yes, that's another thing I like about FL, they stick to a regiment and really do it in depth. I am very curious about the profit they are able to make like this, they certainly must be taking some risks...

Ah painting... yes shading, weathering.. yes there's a difference there... but as we all know, that combined with an excellent casting at the beginning make or kill a figure.

See this figure for example.. Could have been done by K&C with no shading whatsoever.. for 30$ or so

or by FL for 55$ with some shading, weathering and some tiny details done on the clothing and armor...

or as a very limited series like this one for 550$ ...

so that's it, which one do you choose ??

With 2000$ in my hands, I'll buy 0 K&C, 30 FL plus one Kolobob... But that choice is yours to make

Now for unpainted figures by K&C and the like.. I do have the 90 mm FL mounted saladin... superb casting ... I don't have the figure anymore since I have sent it to a painter and can't wait to see it painted to my own standards

The sculpting and casting can make or break a figure.I sent some kits from a certain company to a painter last year and he told me he couldn't wait to get started on them as they were so nice.
