Some Corner of a Foreign Field - April 1918. (1 Viewer)

Again I like this one :salute:: but I have to say I wouldn't want to land such a dodgy airfield :wink2:
Wayne.

Terrific scene Jack, really good work. Love your groundwork and the plane of course is excellent, well done mate.

Royal Flying Corps, WW1, Western Front - I could hardly have made it more appealing to you unless I put Jennifer Anniston at the controls in a Union Jack swimsuit. {sm4}

Nice dio, and who couldn't love an SE-5? Now, I have to go rivet-counting again. On April 1, 1918, the RFC and RNAS became the RAF. So, technically, that is an RAF SE-5, though I seriously doubt that Jennifer Anniston would know or care about the difference, Union Jack swimming suit or not.:wink2:^&grin^&grin -- Al

I hate to rivet count your rivet counting but the aircraft in question belongs to the AFC which did not become the RAAF until 1921 (thus making it the second oldest airforce in the world).

I have had a bit of a look at some inter war aircraft and would love something like the Hawker Hart or Bristol Bulldog. Most of all I would love a Comet. Some of those aircraft from the 20s and 30s would look great on a grass field 'somewhere in England'.
