Hello Gentlemen,

I would just like to share some pictures of some projects I've done lately.

Here are some Airfix Japanese that I've converted and painted.

Here are some Airfix French Imperial guards.

Hi - I really like the way that you have altered these figures with modelling clay/puttee to add the plume and cords to the bearskin. I remember seeing an old article many moons ago where the front plate on the bearskin on these figures was blocked up with puttee and they were painted as the 3rd Dutch Grenadiers of Napoleons Imperial Guard in their white uniform with red facings.

Very simple jobs that make striking alternatives to this excellent Airfix set.

If fact there are probably many other simple conversions for this set - swapping bearskins for shakos and there were many other Napoleonic Armies
which had the same cut of uniform in their own national colours, eg Italians, Duchy of Berg etc...

Excellent work Green Knight

Regards
Dave

Some more projects lately. Greek conversions and painting. Greeks bought from a toy shop when converted seem to go well with Conte and Expeditionary force Greeks. I had to add Green Stuff to make the base look similar and also added some capes and hair to some of the figs.

Very well done. Can you tell me how you get that snow "effect" on the German greatcoat?

Walt

Thanks Walt. I did a drybrushing technique after painting the green coat. Just very light dry brushing from the bottom up till you get the desired effect.

Walt it may also help if you check out the Battle of the Bulge soldiers from King and Country. I got some of my ideas from their figs.

Hello Gentlemen, here are some Britains Deetail knights that a friend requested me to paint and convert a bit. The bases have been removed in favor of a more natural base. I would have preferred earth colors for the base but my friend wanted these to have the same bases as the other knights in his collection so I stuck with a plain dark green color.
