Inspired by Mike Blake's posting in January I had a request to turn out some Conte US paratrooper conversions. The first one was inspired not only by "Band of Brothers" but by a still photo from a British Pathe newsreel;DSC00277.JPG

Then we go to a combat scene;

With combat, one needs a medic;

Inspired by Mr. Blake here is an advancing machine gun squad;

And an officer calling for help with a "handie talkie";

And two more "shooters":

There are some more in my Gallery in this site.

Now, I want to figure out how you made these guys.
The mano a mano pairs are the best.

These guys...grim! The stance of the American could have him cornered in defense rather than advancing.

They all look good plus seamless as mono-color figures.

Not too hard really, lots of mixing and matching of parts. For the mano a mano pairs I was channeling Richard Conte :) I really admire the close-combat sets that he has produced in metal.

Does the 2-part apoxy work with the soft plastic guys ?

Nice job Gary!^&cool I love those Conte figures there is so much that can be done converting them with the way they are made,The separate parts and the lack of blocking along with the great sculpts makes them real easy to convert and opens the doors to so many possibilities. That Conte G.I. set is an endless well to draw conversions from. I wish he would do some napoleonics.If he did a set of Napoleonic french like that with all those poses I would be in heaven! Keep them coming!^&cool
