Some stories beggar belief (1 Viewer)

What can you say but what unthinking idiots or worse they just don't care.
Wayne.

I suppose they actually need one but, having been to the former camp I am sure there would be better places further away. Its not the biggest place but, it does seem someones brain was not in gear when they thought... I know a good site!!

Went to one concentration camp in Germany with new houses built right up close to the camp with balconys over looking the camp :rolleyes2:

From the country that had many a pogrom in its day, including in the aftermath of WW II, I can't say I find this surprising. In 1939 there were approximately 3.3 million Jews in Poland (the largest in Europe), today 30,000.

Amoral thugs.

I don't think I'd go that far. The Styks location may be out of sight of the memorial AND it's a funeral business that most communties want locally. It's more oversight than slight. You have to figure that there are what appear to be working railroads in the area as well.

I see your point. Read the comment son the article- it is very sad.

The Holocaust is and should be a sore subject. You have to figure that some cultures don't like the idea of cremation of the dead while other cultures have it as an honorable end. With the Holocaust the cremation was purposely a disposal and not decent burial.

From what i have seen and read that goes on in this world nothing would surprise me! Common sense has really gone out the window on this issue and you would think someone in the organisation that is proposing this development would see that a crematorium next to a concentration camp is not appropriate and will cause grief and outrage to the survivors and the families of the survivors.
