Here are a few conversions based on the recent CTS "GI Set #2"...PB170435.JPGPB170436.JPGPB170437.JPGPB170438.JPG

Tim, more interesting limb exchanges.
I have not gotten any of the CTS new figures.
The TSSD / Conte are still in progress in my cave.

Some of the heads, arms, and equipment came from Conte and TSSD "donors". THe CTS aren't bad, but the faces aren't as nicely sculpted as Conte and the equipment, especially the guns, can be lacking in detail.

Nice work Gary!^&cool You,ve got me wanting to break out the razors but I still have a table full of plastics half painted so I need to do some painting first to clear some room.
Keep chopping and post more pics, I,m loving it! Not my era of choice but great stuff! Have you done any other eras besides WWI-WWII?

Thanks very much for the kind comments.

I have "puttered" with some of the TSSD ACW cavalry for my own use, and I did some modern US infantry (AIP) for a friend. My personal area of interest is WW2. I do some conversions for myself, but the profit motive is what gets them actually finished. So far my best customer hasn't gotten me too deep into ther eras. That means I have a bunch of extra hands, feet, guns, etc that are appropriate for the 20th Century. Really the same basic rules and operations would work for about any era, I just like doing my GIs because I have so many extra parts that I can create new poses and figures by "blending" parts from different manufacturers. For any other eras I will have to lay in a supply of extra "bodies".
