I have all of the figures in this series from Somerset and they are certainly worth collecting.
Of course they fit the category of glossy toy soldiers but are sculpted and painted to a very
high level. Not ready to sell mine yet but will have to consider in the not too distant future.

You’d be making a good decision by getting into this range as they are wonderful figures. By the way, you can still purchase them from Ron; I purchased a few sets a few months back.

You can find some of the more common ones on eBay from time to time. I found the Desert Raid set for next to nothing. I suppose I will now have competition. Groan!

Thank you, Brad and Richard.

Richard, if I understand you correctly, all these sets have been produced? I am asking as I have not seen the variations and the figures with the three digit code.

All of the sets have been produced and you can contact Ron as he will still make them for you. I talked with him the other day and he said he has never been busier, so busy with orders that the Turkish Locomotive he was working on has been shelved much to my dismay!

Ron's catalog is fairly large and he has made replacement parts and missing parts to many of my older sets for years. I will also say, the stuff he produces today even the older sculpts is painted to a higher standard, his own skills have certainly increased along with price!

Good hunting but you should find what you seek and you have the owner himself as backup for the ones you can't find.

Hi Tom,
How can we contact Ron so as to see and order from his Arab sets?
Cheers

I’ll pile on and say you won’t regret it.
I have done the what if I can only keep four or five series what are they, and it always comes up Lawrence, K&C Egypt, Conte Viking ship , then one of JJD Series KOS or BH or snowshoes.

I am happy with sets I have from this series. a nice shelf full to collect. The rising prices turns me off, but not away, yet!

Have his prices increased? I thought they were pretty stable. Price wise, collecting this series is not for the faint of heart.

I wouldn't be surprised as every other maker has. I know the last time he was in Chicago 5 or 6 years ago Ron showed me some up coming figs and the "camel blankets" had more detail and I think there was a bump in price then. Still worth every penny I would say.

I’d say so too.

The book that he has listed on the site, Joseph Berton’s T.E. Lawrence and the Arab Revolt, is worth picking up. Amazon has it in stock.

In a couple of months, we will be able to travel again. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE BUDGET!

BUMP.
