Great Collection!

Is that the British Wagon from the American Rev. Range ? Looks like you have SOHK figures replacing the British guys - is that right ? Great idea !

How would it compare to a First Legion Moon Gate? Would it be the same scale or cost more?;)

Hi Ron I have always been interested in this collection.I like the way you can build up a great street scene with buildings and street sellers.I tried to get my wife interested in them so we could collect them together but she said only one collector in the house at one time.I like the bird house and sellers the best .Simmo.

Well spotted my man. It's performing sterling service standing in as a taxi in 1900 HK.

Harry - those buildings are very cool

Who made them ?

I love the collection - SOHK is certainly an interesting range - at least for me. :D

Howdy - good to hear from you.

Yea - I love the guy with the bird cage too. Right now I am focusing on the buildings / diorama pieces of SOHK - not sure if I am going to jump all the way into the range.

There are certain limits to the PHILLIPS DEFENSE BUDGET !!

But, a few of those figures are really special aren't they ?

Ron,
I've absolutely no idea who makes those buildings. We had bought a couple of them plus a wall section last year for buttons in the shopping complex where I lurk around looking for cheap stuff to enhance our displays.
We were in some swanky shopping mall in Bangkok in January when we saw one of the buildings we already had in some shop. I kinda remember going in and asking the price - next thing I knew was Missus H passing the smelling salts under my nose. I can't remember the price they quoted but it was something risible that much I do recall.
Anyway, as soon as I got home in March, it was straight back to the shop where I got the original ones. Hope you're sitting down, cos for 3 houses, 4 of those statues and another wall section, which are reversible, I knocked the shop assistant down to 500RMB for the lot.

Ummm, 500RMB = 73US$

We only know this one shop that sells them - and if they see me hanging around, the price will rocket, so I'm sending Missus H out on a mission next time I hit Dalian. I want a few more of those wall sections for a wee project I'm cooking up.

I posted these ones in a different section of the forum, but I suspect you must have missed them. Enjoy.

Ron,

Nice catch and very nice item too. This would be one of the first items on my list to buy of the Streets of Hong Kong range. I will start with this range as soon as I have bought all the Nap's. I promissed my daughter I would do so. Keep those pictures comming so I can look forward to owning it myself.

I had a few of these K&C sets some years ago... I sold them 'cause I don't have room to display them. One of the great K&C ranges, though... lots of creative and animated poses. Thanks for the pics!

Yeah, it's a fantastic range isn't it.
Good luck Ron - once you start on SOHK - you're a lost man - cos your wife will love them.

Cheers
H

Ron and Harry,
Thanks for the images. The Asian figures are very colourful and interesting and often get overlooked. I love the EOI Samurai range as good variety and colour and SOHK is what I sometimes give as a gift.
The buildings add so much more to the displays and if the shop Harry found did mail order or Ebay I think they would sell a lot of them.
Keep em coming.
Regards
Brett

Ron - it was only afterwards that I realised I ought not to have posted figures from another company on the K&C section. I should have posted a link to those photos.
My apologies to fellow K&C collectors for the lapse.

Cheers

Thanks for sharing - I was about to saw - Did K&C release some new figures ?? ;)

Great deal on the diorama pieces - that one of the beauties of China on finding things.

Well - must be careful not to get sucked all the way in on SOHK !

Ron,

It's a lost cause man. Once you start on SOHK you'll be hooked - line and sinker same as me. Along with the IC - and I read one post stating its going to be expanded - it's a si,ply facinating range.
In fact while I'm thinking about it, I really need to get a move on and get a few more multiples of the IC Mtd Lancers - drawn up in a line, they really are spectacular;
