Hi,

In my country I found the inspiration to create something fast, silent and mortal for my ennemies.

Who am I ? And what have I created ?

valmy33,

This is a difficult one, but I shall give it a try.

General Shiro Ishii of Unit 731. The "Plague" bomb.

Raymond.

2nd indication : used for the first time in 1940

Hi valmy33,

I shall try again.....something fast, silent and mortal for my enemies.....possibly RADAR.

It was also called the "deadly ray" by some, although not a weapon in the true sense of the word. There was a team of scientists involved in the development of RADAR, but it was accredited to Sir Robert Watson-Watt.

It was invented by three British scientists, Arnold Wilkins, H.E. Wimperis and Sir Robert Watson-Watt and Sir Henry Tizard developed it for operational use in the Battle of Britain in 1940.

Best, Raymond.

Hi Glossman,

This is a very good proposal ... Unfortunately this is not good.
bUT You're still on the right way because this thing has been used for the first time by the British Army in 1940.:smile2:

Hello valmy33,

Another try.....

The Turing Bombe, part of ULTRA invented by Alan Turing and Gordon Welchman in 1939-1940. It was used by British Military Intelligence at Bletchley Park, so strictly not British Army.

Hello valmy,

You must be referring to Operation Jaywick in September 1943. The mission was to raid Japanese shipping in Singapore Harbour and assigned to Z Special Force (SOE and SOA). The "limpet mine" invented by Stuart Macrae circa 1939 was used and sank 7 Japanese ships.

Stuart Macrae also invented the "Sticky Bomb" (No.74 Anti-Tank Greanade) supplied to the British Army and the Home Guard in 1940 in preparation for Operation Sealion that Hitler subsequently abandoned.

Have a Nice Weekend,

Best, Raymond.

Hi Ray,

The force is not the limpet mine for Jaywick or sticky bombs.

More indications : in UK, the number the most known is 4. I exist in the USA too and my number is 75 but my name is different. We were used together in 1942 for the first time.
