A small skimish some where in france 1814! A small farm complex held by some Prussian troops is attacked by a small column of Nassau troops and a few french light infantry. The battle dosn,t lead to much and the nassua troops find another spot to spend the night and leave the farm to the prussians for now anyway!

Looks like you also got into some play time wish I'd been around to play. Nice story line along with some great photos. Hope all's been well and looking forward to your campaign...The Lt.

Thanks Joe! It would have been much more fun setting it up with a bit of help! I kept it a bit smaller this time and the packing away went much quicker this time. We,ll have to get together again soon and maybe do another trip to the hobby bunker or something. I need to get a few more paints to finnish painting fubars new grenadiers anyway, a few of my colors are starting to dry up on me. We,ll have to see if Mikes into a get together also.

Once again you are the master of the Cinemascope epic scenario. Cecile B. Demille eat your heart out. :) I love the Prussian marching group.

Sheesh man, these are absolutely brilliant photos Fish.
Thank you for sharing them.

Best Regards

Wow again Tim! How many figures do you have setup and what are the dimensions of that layout.

Tim, Exactly the kind of Scene I am longing to do.Simply awesome. I see you already scored a bunch of new Britians figs. Have to put those on my Christmas list. All looks great. 1814 it is!
More envy.
Must keep working on shop so I can do some great scenes like yours. Your custom built buildings look great with the commerical massed produced items.
As usual. Great stuf from the fish.

Alex I never count figures as I put them out,I just keep opening boxes till it looks good or I run out of room, but your more then welcome to get a head count for me!:p I only have a limited prussian army and thats just about all of it other then a couple of del prado figures and a few other single figures wich would look out of place all alone. Prussians are another nation that dosn,t have any cavalry available on the market for them yet.
The lay out is pretty much the size of the roll out railroad style grass sheet wich is 100in.x 50in. wich just fits into the limited space I have to work with keeping me from doing anything larger.
Alex how about you doing a large WWII set up like this with all your new foam buildings and your large collection???:cool:

That's tempting. I am planning to do a diorama with the new buildings but not a large one.

Come on Alex, didn,t any one ever tell you bigger is always better!:p
Those new building you did are awsome as always.
You have me wanting to try and do some buildings in the half builging style but in some napoleonic looking buildings and do a whole napoleonic city street for a battle of leipzig diorama with some street to street fighting.

So rember Alex!!!
BIGGER IS BETTER!!!:p

I'll second that; As Fubar once told me "Bob why do it with 10 when you can do it with a 100 or even better a 1000".

Currently I am just 200 Johnny Rebs and Billy Yanks short of that 1000. Which on reflection I may have reduced a few more following purchases made on Saturday at the London TSS.

Bob

Bob never try and get into a bigger is better battle with FUBAR, thats a no win battle as his collections seems to be endless! I can only imagine how large his collection is and I can,t think of a better place for a collection so large as in his hands. Harold is the master of the over sized diorama.

My collection is slowly starting to grow also but i,m running out of room for it. I have no idea of how many figures I have at this point but fubars napoleonic collection dwarfs my napoleonic collection but napoleonics are pretty much all I collect were as fubar collects about 12 other ranges of history also and has huge collections of figures in those other ranges also. Scary!!!

Hey Tim, I just found your 1814 set up. WOW! What a nice looking array of figures and scenery. I like how everything is set up. Great job my friend....
Nick:)
