fixed much worse. This should not be thrown away a few hours work, if that and its mint again
Mitch

The breaks are clean so it looks like it can be fixed, we have a sponsor on our website Dr. Mikes that has excellent products, especially the filler. Also AK makes excellent finishing products to hide any flaws after the repair or to really weather it if you choose to wreck it.

It would be an interesting project to do a diorama with it as a wreck. You will have to study pictures before you do that, it is not as easy as it looks. Alex

It might be easier to just fix your son!:wink2: From 1 DAD to another...^&grin Michael

Oh Dear..Oh Dear. I know the feelin PA, A couple of months ago i completely totalled my KC Steyr 1500 Funkwagen, and i really mean TOTALLED!!!!!!. and i could"nt even hang the blame on anyone else..Just me. Clicked into Ebay and got me a new one, so now i"m a happy puppy again...But i learned one good lesson...THINGS WITH WHEELS ROLL!!!. Looking at your Stug it looks to me to be quite repairable, if i were you i"d give it a shot and if it does"nt work out you can always use it as a knock-out...and if all fails there is always good old Ebay!!.
Good luck, Oh and try to keep your son OUT OF THE OFFICE.

Steve

Repair it. Or did you mean that you'd rework it into a battle-damaged piece? Though if I may offer, respectfully, to clarify Mitch's post, we can't really say any longer that it would be mint, in the strict sense of the word.

Prost!
Brad

Most "real" tanks - get quite a well worn look - very quickly - and the more so when a battle has occurred. Looks like your stug just lost its first skirmish with your son.

Nil Desperandum - out with the super-glue - and maybe a dab or two of paint - and congratulations. You have just joined the ranks of "Dad's Army"!

Yes - many of us who are Dads will recognize the scenario!;) But - if you like to collect "Toy Soldiers" (or their vehicles), which are absolute child-magnets - learn how to use lock and key - and be prepared to fix 'em up - when the deterants fail.

On a more practical kick - remember that tracks were often covered in mud - so if the joins show here and there - add a splash or two of "mud", which can be simulated with careful applications of matte paint. God luck with the repair - and welcome to the Club, pop :D Johnnybach

Looks like your son took the thrown track option to a new level!
I broke the track on a K&C Jagdpanther and the super glue fix worked very well.

We can rebuild it. Faster, better , stronger. Better than before. Hey if it doesn't work out you can permanently set it up in a diorama. Or you can send it to me I I can rebuild it for you.

Thanks guys! Super glue it is! Going to be working on it today. ^&grin

I like it as battle damaged, would never have the heart to break it like this, but once done it now makes a great wreck. I know if I glued it whilst it would come back together ok, I would always be aware of the tank was less than perfect. Either way its a model still worth keeping, cheers, Robin.

And in the meantime, get your boy a bag of green plastic army men, and some plastic tanks, and build him a sand box. That's a good way to let him play his way into the hobby, without endangering the costlier pieces in your collection. As he gets older, you can introduce him to the more delicate items ;)

Prost!

Can I get an Amen for Brother Brad? AMEN!

Is that a line from the 6 million dollar man...:rolleyes2: I reckon it can be repaired with a bit of super glue and when my 6 year old son visits me, i watch him like a hawk when he is around my collection!

Well here ya go! Think she's looking back to normal. ^&grin
