Thank you, John,
much appreciated. Those Sikhs in gloss look great!!!

I am realy looking forward to seeing these first hand in gloss , looking at the photos
it is hard to judge the relative merits.

The diorama in the Collector is now at Westcoaster and images can be seen in Show section along with the new K&C WWI planes.

Sold of my WWII collection a couple of years ago and haven't bought much K&C since. Limited my collecting to high quality gloss (Imperial) and converting a couple of other matt manufacturer's ranges into ''glossies''.
These new gloss K&C Sikhs are stunning. A new hybrid of figure (the detail and shading of matt figures w/ the color and brilliance of gloss) which until now I could only get by doing it myself.

Thanks Andy, Looking forward to collecting your new line of gloss figures. :) - Ken

I think Andy may find, as he did with the re-introduction of the polystone planes a couple of years ago, that the gloss figures will draw a very big reception from the collector community. I remember that he was surprised at the reception the planes drew and I think he will be pleasantly surprised again.

I would like to see Camel Corps, Sudan, Seaforth and the like in gloss from K & C. Maybe, back to the future? :):smile2:

The gloss figures in those pictures look wonderful. Now I will have to convert my SOE matte Skinner's Horse to gloss. Long live the new KC gloss figures! -- Al

Those new SOE gloss figures look really great, definitely picking up a few to add to my collection. Great new direction from K&C, feels kind of retro/nostalgic and I like it. Those colourful uniforms from the more distant era's really beg to be glossed.

Now that the second release of SOE is being offered in both matt and glossy versions will the first release of Skinner's Horse also be made available in gloss as well as matt? Those who will be collecting the gloss versions of SOE and are completists would hope that K&C will make these available so that they will match the new and forthcoming releases. Are the gloss versions being made using gloss paints or is this a glossy finish added after painting with matt paints?

I just recently looked over a Spring 2011 copy of K&C's Collector Quarterly magazine that shows photos of the new sets coming out soon. The new soon to be issued British Indian Army sets available in matt or gloss look splendid. Here is a chance for the real gloss collectors to get some sets in gloss!

It's great to see glossy making a come back especially the Victorian Colonial subjects that have been so representative of the style.
