I understand that chivalry was attributed to the Knights of the Skies during WW1. If that is true then below I depict a German pilot at the sight of a British crash sight. One can imagine the thoughts that could be passing thru his mind as he looks at the remains of the damaged plane: Maybe he is saying good bye to a worthy opponent.....reflecting on the war..... possibly showing a bit of respect towards a fellow combatant? (Or maybe just looking for some spare parts).

Great dio, but where in the world did you get a wrecked JJD Camel? If it was an undamaged model that was deliberately broken, I salute your ingenuity and ability to trash a $200 model. If it was the result of combat or damaged on a training (read 'playing with') mission, I really salute the solution you came up with. I'd still be crying.^&grin -- Al

That is painful to see. But since the plane is wrecked, why not addvsome bullet holes?

Great set up.

I was anticipating a question like this. With no JJD news this month I got really mad and............nah............just kidding!

It is actually the ACE-10 that I ordered last week that came in damaged or should I say totally obliterated. Treefrog and JJD are working things out to get me a replacement. I thought in the meantime that I could make the thing of good use. Sort of like the saying, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade??

I admire your understated definition of damaged. More like totally destroyed. There must have been a real crash involved with it's transportation, or maybe a couple of real hamfisted handlers. Hope you get one in A-1 condition soon. -- Al

A great solution to a terrible situation, but I am glad that JJD and TF are soothing your nerves.

I can image the thoughts that went through your mind when you opened the box and found ..... {sm2} {sm2} {eek3}

But then after the good replacement news you were ..{sm4} ^&grin.

Then you said what can I do with this plane that would be beneficial and you .. and ^&confuse

Finally you had a GREAT IDEA ....
