Worth the wait I gather! I started a year ago collecting JJD figures (Sudan) but have realised that John does some really in depth research for his ranges. Sounds promising for future releases.

Hi Jeff. VERY much worth the wait. I love JJD also. His figures are my favorites, in particular his 1745 Jacobite series. They are just unmatched on the market for color and action. Can't wait for von Richthofen's red tripe. It is going to be a banner year for WW1 aviation. -- Al

The Sopwith Camel arrived this AM and I must say I am very impressed. The photos do not do this piece justice. The paint scheme is very accurate. It represents Capt. Roy Brown's Camel #B7270 of 209 Squadron as it flew in April 1918, out of Bertangles. The research was really well done as the insignia roundels on the fuselage sides are missing, just as they should be for this particular aircraft. The horizontal stabilizer is also depicted correctly in it's red and white colors. The weathering is very well done and adds to the realistic appearance. The bracing wires are well done and delicate. This is a superb model and really whets my appetite for more aircraft from JJD. Just a note, this model is very light in weight. Not a criticism, just a fact. Makes no difference to me. I am also very pleased JJD got the wings correct as this has been a weak point in other models of this plane. IMHO, this model rates an A+ and is a must for WW1 aviation buffs. -- Al

Got mine last week, and, while I am not as knowledgable about WWI aviation as you, I agree with your assessment that this plane deserves an A+.

Mine arrived today. I love it. A wonderful piece to add to any collection. The pilot is on back order...oh well, I can't display the plane until Christmas morning! Hopefully Santa will bring the pilot figure with him Christmas morning...

my wife asked me the other day what i would like for Christmas ??????? as I am a big John Jenkins fan and asked for the new Sopwith Camel and Roy Brown...I know I have been good and not naughty all year so I hope to see it under the tree this year..........hope John has some other figures to go with it next year ...............
