I never realised "Sparklets" had been around for so long

Difficult to believe - I thought they were a product of the 1920's or thereabouts = so I had a peek around - and came up with a better pic - which agreed with the date of 1898 for production. Here it is.

Yes - I thought it was a nice picture - with the added interest of the packaging it came in.

Here's another link - which describes that "Aerating Bottle", as it was then known - produced from 1896 by the Sparklets firm - which was then known as "Aerators Ltd". See it below on the left. (the cover was apparently made of cane). jb
