I got to see the figures up close at the MFCA show last weekend, and I was impressed with the quality of the painting. It approaches the Russian style, with its shading.

If it weren't for the mustaches on the officers.....

Has anyone else bought any, and what do you think of them? Pretty good, eh?

Prosit!

Hi Brad

Got the whole lot already ... mustaches nor not, I like the Officers best, especially the portly built one:). Much more realistic, not everyone is a lean mean fighting machine.

I am with you Brad, I am definitely a fan!

Still waiting for new US AWI to go against though.

I have not purchased them yet, but they are definitely on my list.

I will probably buy several BRO66, Standy Ready figures, and then add the drummer and the officers.

True, true! Do you mean the mounted officer? He and the foot figure both look really good, they have a character of their own, a personality, that moves them beyond the usual toy soldier figure.

I find all the 4 Hessian officers to be particularly appealing ... much more realistic than usual. I suppose officers, aristrocats & nobility eat better, even when on campaign.

The most "jolly chap" is the marchining officer with pike ... now I would like to get a column of the marching hessians to follow him.

I really wish that K&C would offer a boxed set of 4 "slightly differing" marchers. That .. would really take the cake.

I don't collect AWI (as focussed on WWII and Nap), but good sculpt/paintwork quality of some of these Hessians convinced me to buy a few nonetheless. Officers on foot are well done.

:) Mine also! I need them as reserves to back my Fusiliers and Regulars.
My Highlanders are holding the left quite well on their own right now, but could use SOME MORE ARTILLARY! BOOM! BOOM!
O.C.:D

Did you say BOOM ! BOOM ! ?????

Oh no here comes the BOOM KING !

MUSIC BEGINS......

I like BOOM ! - You Like BOOM ! - We All Like BOOM !! - DE - BOOM !!

Can you hear it...Can you feel it... Come on Andy join in and bring us some BOOM ! :D

And because the uniforms hadn't really changed since 1756, with a little repainting, these figures would also pass for Hessian troops from the Seven Years War, or even Prussians.

In any case, well done, K&C!

Prosit!
Brad
