Special Dinner with Andy (1 Viewer)

The only thing we've left out is Tony marching to Hong Kong and showing Andy the door:eek:

Easy, yes it was good to hear our campaign has been heard at the highest level!.Now we just have to convince Andy to take the final step.I will be doorstepping him at the evening do(in the nicest possible way you understand!)over a sandwhich and asking him what the chances are.

Now what about some idle guessing about the new line?.British army in far east,Falklands war,South Africa(Rorkes drift etc.)WW1 maybe?.Not sure we are going to guess this one chaps.

Yeah sorry Tony,we've pushed you enough!.I'm starting to think possibly WW1.But will look forward to finding out on the night.

Oh man would I love for K&C to re-address the Zulu war. In the past, between 1988 and 1996 K&C did about 15 poses of Zulus, 1 24th Foot officer, 1 8th Foot officer (all glossy), and a burning Zulu War (Rorke's Drift) Farmhouse. There were also cool accessories to build walls like ammunition boxes, beer and salt pork barrels and mealie bags. I think that particular conflict would be awsome in todays level of quality.

Ditto to that. I think this is something we should pursue with him. I would like to see this in glossy. I think that would be quite neat.

Well Guys

I was at K&C UK with Mike and Tony and they were not giving away what the plans are. infact they cleared their desks of everything before i got there.

Also Hit The toy soldier show in Birmingham and bought the entire Crusader range as it looks awesome. Cannot belive i moved from WWII.

Cannot make the 2nd December as i am away with the family!!!! DOH PLEASE PLEASE somebody report back what is going on with the SHOw and more importantly what the K&C UK release is!!!!!

need t oplan my spends for 2007 now i have slipped from WWII!!!

I also like the idea of Victorian era figures in glossy, but, like Streets of Hong Kong, they could easily be offered as both matt and glossy. Andy discussed re-doing some of the early Victorian Era figures K&C produced in the 80's, probably Seaforths and Afghans, as a 25th Anniversary release. These would be awsome in todays sculpting, but with a choice of glossy or matt finishes.

Thanks for that suggestion i will start to look at another warehouse to hold the Glossy and Matt versions shall I!!!!:)

Dont give Andy too many bright ideas!! Think of us Dealers who have to hold the stock!:D

Tony

Boo hoo! You have to hold all that stock that you are selling in your warehouse. The way K&C's product moves, and the success your family has had moving it over these last 15 years or so, I would think you would be basking in the record levels of productivity of the last three years or so. If you don't want more K&C to sell, why take the time, trouble and expense to get Andy to do the exclusive series? All kidding aside, you better get more warehouse space if Andy goes through with the planned television advertising. You won't be able to keep enough product on hand if the collector base suddenly doubles.

Louis

Tomorrow we have a builder coming to extend the warehouse.............. Not only are we getting ready for all the new items for 2007 but we are also needing a LLLLlllllllllllllllllllllllllllooot of space for our new range.

Louis joking aside from my last comment wwwwwwwwweee are Lovving it.

OUr show in Birmingham (UK) this Sunday was our best show outside of London. We were 2 deep one minute it was 10am then it was 1pm it flew over.

As far as K&C UK is concerned K&C cannot make enough

regards

Tony

Tony now you are just teasing us about the new range!

Rob

Maybe the new range is a selection of figures that King and Country have not painted, but get this....

You get to choose the colours of the figure!

Like if you wanted an 8th army figure painted like a D-Day British Infantry figure, you could tell K@C exactly the way you want it, and they would paint it to your specifications!

Interesting idea but i'm not sure thats it.I'm thinking its a whole new range of a traditional subject.Something like Zulu wars,Boer war or WW1.Maybe even English civil war.We now have just over four weeks to wait, gonna be a long month.!
