Guys, I know this has been talked about before, but the variety of choice from K&C is just huge. As a WW2 collector alone I am at a loss each month as to where to spend my money.I wonder if you guys are more strict than me and have no such problems but just this month here are my questions

Do I buy the latest Bulge releases that really catch my eye, or continue buying the back issues I've not picked up yet?.

Do I pick up the final two Arnhem releases I need?.

Do I buy the Kursk Tiger to go with my Lenningrad Tiger or go back and get the Elefant?.

Do I continue my quest to own all the RAF range?.

Do I get the BR1 figures I've not got yet?

Do I get stuck into recent AK releases?

Its such a balancing act building up all the series you collect!. Don't get me wrong, this is a very happy quandary to have , and only K&C can produce such a range of WW2 figures alone that its mind boggling just trying to pick what to buy. With the London show just over four weeks away I now have to sit down and start making lists of required items....what a great hobby this is:)

Any of you guys have trouble as to which range will next get your money???

Doesn't everyone have this problem? I sure do, although this problem will soon be ending. With JJD's issue of WW1 aircraft and KC's pending issue of the same, that is where my money will go. The other series I collect are now secondary and probably done for the most part. WW1 aircraft rule! :D -- Al

You have it easy my friend!:D

LOL. I suppose I should thank JJD and KC for simplifying my collecting habit. It won't save me any money, but it will be less complicated. -- Al

Nope, the Egyptians are my current favorite KC range. WW2 overload happened a few years back for me- can't imagine what these last 18 months have been like for WW2 diehards. I dropped out of the Eastern Front and Iwo back in 2006, then Bulge in 2008, it was getting too tricky then- must be going bannanas keeping up now. Anyway, I learned my lesson so I didn't jump on the Kriegsmarine, Italian or Air force sets. I am strictly DD and WS sets only and am really really enjoying collecting without the ratrace headaches.

I recently decided to stop buying the Arnhem sets as well- tough call as I do love them- but my British forces are heroically standing fast.

In general, I am scaling back my purchases and trying to control my discretionary spending- this year represents my last buying AWI figures too. I am being more selective and buying the older retired sets (pre DD50, WS50) sets rather than jumping at the new.

Rob...

Buy what is the oldest and could face the chop. New releases like the Bulge etc will be around for a while and will allow you to pick of other things. I don't know what your collection is like but, it sounds good to have an entire range like the BOB and, it may be like Arnhem range they may slow down and be more periodic in releases.

Sounds good on paper but, could go out the window with the december releases

You simply have too many ranges from K&C. I told you this day would come :D

What I did was cut down the number of ranges, pick only items I really want, and sell off any models that no longer fit, including some old versions.

Remember how you helped me do this several months ago. Looks like it's your turn now.

You can't have them all. You can't even have just all the ones you really want. There is just too much. I'm afraid you are in for some difficult choices.

Good advice Mitch. My problem is that I can make a plan as much as I like, then I walk into the London show and see everything Mike and Tony have laid out before me, and I fold like an unusually cheap deck chair;)

I was recently lucky enough to have four Bulge sets brought for me by my inlaws, so am right back in the race to keep up:cool:

Rob,

All the choices make it very tough don't they?:(

Being on a budget, I have to narrow it down to a short list, and then decide from there. If you think some of the new releases might be around for a while, go for the older ones you need to pick up first.

Thanks mate, again thats good advice, its good to know many of you are in the same position each month, I always find it interesting to hear how you guys go about it.

Just doing Naps & Crusades.

K&C have taken its pedal off both - so it has been quiet for me. Naps is potentially draining - so I am evaluating how I should proceed - not to mention considering another manufacturer.

Still like the Crusades - but K&C has make it very easy on my bank account in recent months. This is a good series and I can pick and choose the individual pieces I like without having to complete some line, regiment or square.

Staying off WW2 & warbirds - once you get started on these, that's when all hell break loose.

I like almost everything but being very selective as to what to collect at the beginning should make things easier down the road.
