Hi Guys,

Every month K&C design and produce advertisements and other promotional material that appear in toy soldier collector magazines as well as general history magazines such as ‘HISTORY OF WAR’ ... ‘BRITAIN AT WAR’ ... ‘FLYPAST’ and others.

Some of you may have seen these before... others may not. Here is a small selection of recent and upcoming K&C Ads.

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy

The SPR figures are a must have for me along with Pvt. Ryan when he surfaces. I have been mostly interested in WWII ETO
however these Marines will most likely change that as well ! Then add in some Japanese as well ! Exciting batch of figures all around.

Hi Andy,

Will you have any of the promotional issues for sale on the SPR series this weekend in Chicago??

One of my Top 3 favorite WWII Movies. A Diorama will be in order and shared here on the forum. Stay tuned ......

...Something about the Corporal Upham figure that just isn't jiving with me. It's not the sculpt nor the paint, they're both top shelf. It's more the pose...loading his rifle. I've always loathed the character...even more than I hated the enemy soldiers in the movie.

On the first movement, as they're chatting about the mission being FUBAR he's pretty careless with his weapon and doesn't exercise much muzzle discipline... it would not surprise me if Dale Dye were to say that through most of the filming of the movie, his M1 was not loaded. He was just a rear echelon type who never dreamed he'd need to use the rifle for more than a walking stick.

He talks about writing a book about the bonds of brotherhood formed by men under fire. In the end he fails his "brothers" as much as Ryan solidifies the bonds with his by refusing to leave them undermanned in the mission to hold the bridge. Upham fires his rifle once... at "Steamboat Willie"...and then lets another bunch of prisoners escape. Two men and a coward survived the mission... that's my view on Upham. He should have been sculpted as the blubbering pile of slobber that he was as Mellish was fighting the SS Grenadier.

...Kind of a harsh critique, but it's not aimed in any way at K&C. I love the sets and will be ordering them soon!

In the industry that I work in, SPR means Special Price Request. These seem to come together as a Special Price Request deal as well!!

It would be nice to hear a positive answer.: "...and a special price, just because it's you".

In this part of the world, they always say that you get a special price by showing face. (Swipe face or show photo in Chinese as opposed to Swipe membership card for discount). But I did not get that.... LOL

Anyway, the Sept releases had this set showing a lower than usual per figure price. This is a pleasant surprise. :salute::
