WOW! This is soooo helpful, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, I seached alot on the web to try and understand the art and have never come across anything as Succinct and clear, I have alot to experiment on and read, thanks so much.
Yes please Pm me with the info you have or if someone on the forum is reading this and is interested as well you can post it here, I'll be following this thread.
Thanks again,
Ray

Glad to be of help, Ray. Welcome to the figure painter's club!! It's a skill, so you will learn only by doing. We'll have you walkling around in paint-spattered clothes and reeking of mineral spirits in no time!! :D

I'd start with Kessling's article below. Sorry, I forgot that Stepen's article is on acrylics, but you may still benefit from reading it - after Phil's.

When I find a good article, I download it becasue they tend to disappear on the web. I'm lost without my painting files. I refer to them constantly - still! I'll PM you in a few days.

Jason Foote: you keep resurrecting old posts and flooding our "new posts" filters :)
Although I do not mind reading posts from years ago, it is time consuming...would you kindly consider enjoying the old posts but not commending on them...just a thought and friendly request nothing more nothing less.

I like what Jason is doing. It's fun to see the old pics, something I wouldn't do on my own. I just look at the pics. I don't read all the comment posts.

Sorry ATG. Noted, didn’t realise and don’t want to annoy anyone. Moving forward I Will just look at the old post without comment.
Take care
Jas

There is nothing wrong with someone posting a comment to an old thread. As long as you don't insult anyone or otherwise violate the forum's rules, post what you like.

Prost Neujahr!
