Stadden Ensign (1 Viewer)

Bernard's second Ensign as arrived. Apart from the obvious damage there is some touching up to be done on the flag where it has rubbed against the figures red jacket.

I have re-attached the hand/flag in the last photo. The painting to follow.

Yo Jeff, that is superb, nearly fainted when I saw drill mentioned:eek: lol, but it looks back to its old self, cheers mate. Now you know why I call him the Surgeon General guys:cool:
Bernard.

Finally got around to touching up the paint work, here are the two Ensigns and Wellington (who also required a lick of paint here and there) together.

There is quite a difference in the original painting of the Ensigns.

Yo Jeff, many thanks mate a real fabulous job many thanks. If your wondering why there are two Ensigns guys, the model on the left in the photo of the two together, you will notice only has one cross belt and shows the Ensign with a watch fob on his waist. This model was withdrawn and a second belt was added for the Ensign to carry the Standard in. As Jeff mentions the difference in the painting on the two figures. Most of Chas Stadden painters were out painters he used a lot of Asian ladies, so thats were the difference will come in, also Chas family used to do quite a lot of the painting from home, but at the end of the day they were excellent painters. The other guy Wellington sorry I have to mention this but big Ron hates him, he gave his HERO a good *** kicking at Waterloo:D lol.
Bernard

Nearly forgot to mention the Ensign on the left was the one I had to get the right hand and sword made for as it was missing. Its a really great job and made for me by a Big old grumpy guy, a real bad dude:p;)
