I'm not sure if all collectors are aware of this one , just thought I'd pass it on , hope it may be of interest to some . All the best gebhard

To all of our valued Stadden customers,

Due to a program of restructuring within Toye, Kenning & Spencer, in part as a response to the current economic climate, we have decided to mothball, with immediate effect, our Stadden figurine business.

We do hold some very limited stocks of figurine which we have decided to sell at the much-discounted rate of 60% off the normal book price. These can be viewed on our online store www.thetoyeshop.com/gifts.html.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued custom over the years. If you have any questions please contact us using the form at www.toye.com (http://www.toye.com/contact-us/) or by calling on +44(0)121 2622 950. this , just thought I'd pass it on

Yo Trooper thanks for the heads up but this is about 12 months old. TKS closed down the Chas Stadden side of their business:D they wont be missed as far as I am concerned. They didn't do Chas Stadden's name any favours making his models anyway. Nice of you to put the info up anyway.
I have been A.W.O.L. lately really struggling with an eye problem Cataract, hopefully it will be sorted January, its no fun when you cannot focus properly plus we are moving in 2/3 weeks so all the Troops are packed ready, lucky its on 1/4 of a mile away so just lightly packed them so I can unpack them quickly and return them to their barracks:D.
Bernard.

Hope you feel better mate. Did you have surgery?

I looked at the site yesterday. That Lincoln looks nice. If you ever hear of one, can you drop me a word.

But that's important. Get your eye back to where it should be.

Yo Brad, no not yet mate, hoping to have it done January I am on the priority list, only because I was an Hussar lol:rolleyes:. Will let you know if I see Abe come up for sale, it was originally the King piece in the ACW chess set (as in my chess album) then later some of the pieces were issued as singles, come to think of it I have never seen Abe Lincoln for sale yet.

Thanks for the link Bernard. Both nicely done.

How come you have to wait that long? Is that because everything is done through the government?

Yo Brad lol. That long, I have been waiting six months to see the eye specialist, but as you say we are on free medi care if I had to pay:eek: it would be at least, 1 Stadden Chess set, or 30 scarse Chas singles;). BTW thats not a wink got my sore eye closed lol.
Bernard.

Does anyone know of aynone selling Stadden "parts".

Grant

Bernard,
Sorry I guess I was a little late finding that one  Oh well my Heart was in the right place . I certainly wish you well with your up coming procedure , can't imagine waiting 6 months to see the specialist must be very stressful . I won't get into the current heath care debate gong on here in the states  I'll just wish you well and hope the move goes well also and that you don't lose any soldiers in the moving process .. All the best Gebhard
