The master of destruction is working on a 1:35 scale diorama. It's getting close to completion. I hand carved the cobblestone road, and scratch built everything else also. What can I say. lol.The figures are for display. I have 4 boxes of figures which will go with this diorama. There will be hand to hand fighting and close quarter shooting from debris mound to debris mound. It should be very interesting. It might even be a bloodbath. lol Enjoy.

Thanks a lot Ray. I can't wait to finish this with soldiers plus a destroyed German half track on the cobblestone road.
Nick:)

Diorama building at it's best.
Nick, you sure are gifted to be able to do such nice work.
Please post again when the figures and vehicle are added.
Superb work!

Fantastic dio Nick!!! And of course the subject matter is BRILLIANT. I particularly like the factory windows and damaged catwalk. Great stuff.

Regards,

Matt

Excellent Nick, really beautiful work.:cool: You are indeed a master craftsman and I very much look forward to see this scene unfold.

Thanks guys for your kind words. I truly love this stuff!:D
The hard part now is assembling and painting the figures.
I have seven Germans finished, four Russians primed and two boxes waiting to be opened. The owner of this diorama is going nuts over it.
Stay tuned, there's more to come soon.

Regards,
Nick
(master of destruction):D

I'm going to have this beat up German vehicle up front.
How do you like my hand made smoke? It took me a long time and trial and era to get smoke to look like this.:)

Nick

Outstanding piece of work and pretty realistic smoke effects-smoke not being the easiest of dioramic pieces to construct eh? ;) but you have come up trumps with your effort.

Yours duly impressed

Well, i think we can save you some trouble with that!!! ;) Without giving ourselves too much credit, I feel our figures are at least the equal in terms of sculpting as anything else out there in 1/35 or certainly in the toy soldier scales.

Actually, when you first mentioned this project, I wanted so badly to tell you to hold off and do it in 1/30th (ish) scale, but it was too soon! Perhaps next time.

Either way, I reiterate - fantastic work on this dio. It's a great piece.

Matt, you are right about your figures. I think your figures are just as good or even better than the 1/35 scale figures.

It would look great in 1/30 scale. Big too.
Matt, you can always email me if you have any ideas that you may have for future projects and I can have it researched just in case you need it.;)
Thanks again for the compliment.

Good Job Nick, we was expecting some god and you delivered.

Looking forward to see more.

Rod.

Updated photos are here. I added a 3rd floor, dirty rubble/debris in the front but still have to dirty the rubble/debris in the inside.
