Ive raised this before and im just wondering do kneeling/sitting/squatting/prone position figures need stands?I understand that marching, standing do but do the rest,is it a strengthening thing or just plain unnecessary. The tank riders etc don't have stands and even the K+C one hasn't got a stand and he stands no worries??I know he has a ammo box to help but wouldn't a whole MG on a tri-pod hold the set together just a thought maybe someone in the know can explain, would make them lighter and maybe a bit cheaper.

I think it has more to do with uniformity Wayne as not everyone displays their figures in a dio.

I agree if they don't need a base don't give them one. By doing this it gives us more flexibilty when using them in a dio.

I have to admit, when setting up scenes to photograph I really like it when I can use my tank riders since it means I don't have to hide any bases.

Well here are the releases from the WB Zulu range

Some have bases and some don't perhaps Ken or Richard could weigh in as to why?

The Zulu in the redcoat would have been better as a two piece set with the dead soldier made without a base.

In the last photo the guy scrambling is probably their best figure to date. He can be placed in a multitude of situations. I hope we see more sculpts like this in the future.

Yep i agree would look good separate with no base, hopefully someone one will fill us in with the why,s and why not,s of bases from a company.
