I did about 20 conversions of British infantry for NWE based on Weston figures, but also using quite a few from Matchbox, as well as some Conte heads, arms, etc. I did these for GK5717 but I didn't photographs them before shipment, so he would have to be the one to post any photos. I also found that certain parts from the Airfix Multipose worked pretty well. I didn't have the Airfix infantry or Infantry Support Group to use for parts at the time, but I can see a few interesting possibilities there. The Weston figures are well sculpted and the plastic cuts easily. We could use some more basic poses for conversions. The only concern I had was that some of the helmets on the Weston troops seem a bit large (in diameter). Any other opinions?

I'll have to add some of these to my collection, they look very good. British were my 1st 1/32 Allied units I attempted some 9-10 years ago. Before the days of Conte Gi's. I used deetail, Matchbox,Airfix, Airfix multipose.Between all those and the multpose spare parts there was enough to go into a real modeling frenzy.
Now with a bag of Westons British, I think it's time for another round and another platoon.
Maybe we can talk him into an AFV for the British?

Hi - just finishing off a converted set of Steves new British - I have done a simple swap to the figures now wearing comforter hats as Royal Marine Commandos, Norway raids 1940.

As soon as they are fully done will post photos on this thread

Must start another set as Australians in bush hats Crete 1941

Regards
Dave
