I picked up a bag and am converting these Magnificent Seven characters to fit in with the peasants further back in time from the 1880s to the 1850-60s.
These are the first few and not yet painted.

Nice conversions. The western pics look neat. I wonder what ever happen to Contes "Magnificent Seven figures? I saw the sculptor working on the figures several years ago at the Chicago Show and have not heard nothing else since then. Leadmen

Hey John, I guess they would have some serious licensing issues with that range as movie companies are very protective of their commercial property.

True, and I had one of their Great Escape Motor Cycle kits but the guy didn't look much like Steve McQueen and the bike was wrong as well.

Andrea Miniatures do play it smart however for example
The Predator is Called the Hunter.
I got there Rob Roy kit wich is sold as Rob Roy not sure how they got away with that

Conversions are complete. I made them to look like the "Rurales", the Guardia Rural. These were a Rural police force started in 1861 and re-organized after the French were defeated. Many were reformed bandits.

Well Rob Roy was an historical figure popularized by Daniel Defoe, Sir Walter Scott and Wordsworth nearly 200 years before the movie. The studio would have no rights in the name.

Scott nice ideas and great job on your converts. The more I see those, the more I like them.

Bill you are right..its just the kit is a dead ringer for Liam Neeson and on the box they even mention the Movie.

Scott great use of the Conte Mexican flag great stuff.

They could be "good guys" fighting the French or the Federales.
