Finished these two gentleman sweating under the Spanish sun. I used the Osprey 'Spanish Army of the Napoleonic Wars Vol.3 1812-1815 as a reference. The light blue uniform is that of a Fusilier of the Castropol Infantry Regiment and the dark blue uniform is that of a Line Infantry Fusilier. These uniforms were sent out to the Spanish army from England.

By chance I managed to purchase CS 22, the Hinchliffe figure to complete the set as well- I will paint him in another colorful uniform.

Good news for me is that I won the standing figure, and so when he's painted, we can have a 'show and tell' of our work

Yes, that was me John. That seller has been selling some interesting stuff recently. I purchased a Deauville Miniatures Boer War nurse a few weeks ago from them, so have managed to complete two sets of figures lately. Will post that figure in the Deauville Miniatures thread on here once finished.

Enjoy painting the fusilier- plenty of options for painting these uniforms.

Haven't had much time lately for model soldiers, however, decided a few weeks back to put a bit of effort into finishing some half made kits I have lying around.

Finished this Vanot kit of a Chasseur Alpins 1914 the other day. I think it is from the 1980's going by the box. It could be older though.

Instructions show the figure without a Lebel rifle. The posing of his right hand looked odd and there was a rifle in the kit, so it went with the figure.

it's been a few years since you posted your images of the Hinchliffe Spanish INfantry from the Napoleonic Wars, but finally I have managed to get the seated figure to join my standing one, and here they are :

Those figures look really good John.

I really need to get around to assembling and painting my seated figure. There are also two 75mm Hinchliffe French grenadiers of the line sitting in boxes unmade in my store of the figures awaiting attention.

Currently not having a lot of time available to do these figures but that will eventually change

Like you I have acquired a few of these 75mm figures too,no one seems to be bidding on them on Ebay, maybe too big?? and so I have got them at a really good price. All I need to do get some other stuff finished, and figures for other collectors, and I'll start some.

Well its taken about two years, but have finally finished my New Hope design Private, British Infantry 1900, modelled on the famous Caton-Woodville painting of Kipling's 'Gentleman in khaki'.

New Hope Design used the figure as the logo at one stage.

Looking at the two you painted, did they have a tear in the right sleeve? Mine has one, but I don't see it on the original print either. I painted it as a tear anyway to match his head wound.
