This is an Important Update regarding Stockport Toy Fair.

Over the past couple of weeks it has come to our attention that a party/parties unknown has/have been working to sabotage the event - to the effect of booking tables (14 in total we know about) with no intention of showing up on the day and also by ringing traders who have booked and informing them that the show has been cancelled. We do have an idea who has been behind this but we are not in a position to point fingers. Last night I rang around most of the booked stalls we were unsure about and found some have now booked elsewhere and just weren't going to turn up (or had no intention of turning up). This has left us with a serious decision to make - at this moment in time the confirmed count for tables is now down to 15 (from 41) - with this in mind I have no choice but to cancel the event.

We will not let these people get the better of us and we will be looking to hold a replacement event in 2011 once we have put plans into place to make sure this doesn't happen again. Watch this space......
