Maybe this post should be in the EBay folder, but where it concerns only K&C sets I'll try here.

There is a set of K&C AWI figures, horse and cart on EBay. It says that it was commissioned by "Stockton Bank" as a Christmas Gift set in 2007. There were only 200 sets made.

The fancy gift box comes with 6 K&C AWI Figures AR53 thru AR58; the Cart and contents from the BR54 Dragoon set (no British Figure). Looking at the pictures you can see the figures are in rough shape with many chips and few broken parts, as well as the cart. There is no COA but the box looks good.

I am by far not the most knowledgeable person on T.S. and King & Country sets but I never saw this offering before. The asking price is a rather steep $250 given the condition and lack of paperwork.

Does anyone know about this set? (ANDY?)

Thanks in advance, gents.

I have this set. When I am home, I'll take a look and let you know what I paid. Not that what I paid is necessarily what it's worth but it'll give a reference point. Mine was in mint condition and has a certificate with it.

Hi Larry. Yes they are real sets, however the only true unique one was one that contained the Gadsden flag, I know I did have it. If I can find I will photo and post.

Thanks Tom, that would be informative and helpful. --- LaRRy

I would never have doubted for a second that you had one ....{sm4} ...
Mostly curious what supposedly should be in the box?

That is a nice looking set, it's got the backwoodsmen, which are tough to find. I may be missing something at first glace, but I don't see a lot of damage/broken items/missing pieces, just a few chips here and there on the figures which are an easy fix.

I don't follow Ebay that much, but those figures in boxes used to fetch 60.00 to 75.00 each, much like the Napoleonic KGL figures.

To me, this is a 350.00 to 500.00 set; again, I may be off, but that's my opinion.

Very nice.

Evening George,

Yes, it is a nice looking set, but on the close ups there are numerous chips ... looks like a lot of noses got socked!...{sm4}
A few broken pieces, but glue should be a solution.
There are no boxes (except the one big PRESENTSTION BOX), but the boxes are obtainable from K&C (via T.F. Julie) for about $7 -$10.

Then there is the horse & cart, but no British Dragoon (as per set BR54) so possible question there.

A particular eBay dealer has had several K&C Woodsmen and Militia on for YEARS at the $60 -> +++ range and they are still there.

I guess my uncomfortable zone is pondering:
Is the set complete with what is show in the description?
What is the price of a complete set in excellent to mint condition?

OH well, mostly curious I guess. Thanks to all for the input.

Evening Julie ... Interesting :rolleyes2: that they gave out an AWI set and an Alamo set? I wonder if they made any more?
I also wonder why a bank would give Toy Soldiers sets out as gifts?

What happened to the toaster?
