people collect stuff for all sorts of reasons and to each his own.. I been collecting for the love of the figures for over 55 years now.
I throw away boxes and display whatever I buy. I don't buy any more than I can display "nicely". Sometimes people crowd their displays with so many pieces that it's a huge jumble and the beauty of the individual pieces is lost.
Collecting can become somewhat of an obsession; I know because I've collected various items like knives, swords, pens, watches & such. You've got to keep the urges under control or it can easily get out of hand and you just want more and more - oftentimes for no really good reason.
