Figarti is not altogether sure if there is sufficient demand for a Sturmovik to justify its manufacture. In discussions with Peter Wang, I suggested a poll to gauge collector demand, to which he agreed.

For purposes of the poll, please assume that the purchase price would be $330 (similar to the Me 110). This is just for purposes of the poll and does not necessarily mean that this would be the actual price, if made.

Most Definitely.... Yes..... on the Figarti Sturmovik....I would hope that it could stay just under $300 if possible

I don't think, for me, there are any russian aircraft that could interest me enough to part with the asking prices quoted.

Is there a point price that would work for you (a reasonable one, that is :smile2:)?

Al,

I think the issue for them is Russian planes generally. My gauge is that they're not sure Russian planes will sell.
I would guess that is true. I'm sure the interest isn't there as it is with the other air forces. Too bad, because the Russians had some good aircraft and pilots, contrary to popular opinion. -- Al

That is the problem Al. We know that British and German airplanes will sell, e.g. the Stuka, but there is a hesitancy on the Sturmovik. I tried to get Peter to send me a photo of the Sturm but they feel that it needs a lot more work.

Have to agree not interested in any Russians planes and think a Me 262 night fighter would be a better bet

Based on what I'm seeing so far, it doesn't look like this is going to get made, sad to say :(

With our western bias, getting a Russian airplane made is going to be tough. Just a very limited market. -- Al

I think Figarti should focus on the Stuka and its many variants.

I would purchase one. With Russian stuff so limited out there I would definitely pick one up!

I love Russian aircrafts. I would buy one if price is not >$300.
I have few modern 1/72 diecast Russian Jet fighters and they're awesome.

I would certainly buy it, since I have a passion for collecting WWII planes in 1/32-1/30 scale, and I am sure there is quite a demand out there. The reason is simple: there are no such Russian planes marketed that I know of for at least the last 7 years I`m into collecting WWII aircrafts. Including FOV, 21st Century, K&C, Corgi, Figarti, you`ll find German, American, British, Japanese, even Italian, but not a single Russian plane... If Figarti comes up with something like a 100 unit release Sturmovik, considering the quality they demonstrated with both their last P-38 and ME-110, IMHO it would sell up to the last one, and it would not take too long to empty their shelves.

I wouldn't buy one. it's a big ticket item but more importantly takes up a lot of space & has limited diorama potential. Even a Stuka would be a maybe. Let's put it this way, I'd buy the Reichbahn before an IL-2 & I haven't even bought those yet for space issues.

Think it would be nice to see a Black widow or a Mosquito

Hear hear, the man has a winner. If equivelant to the ME110, the P-61 would be graet. A lesser price for the Stormovik, and add skis.

That would be very cool. But I would prefer something like the Macchi Folgore.
