I found this beauty under the Christmas Tree, JJD WWI GWG-01 Sturmpanzer A7V, 506 Mephisto. Exceptionally well done. Thought I would share some close up photos of it for those of you that haven't been able to get a really good look at this model yet. The JJD WWI figure GWG-10 "German Sniper" has been included in the photos for perspective. Can hardly wait for the crew figures to be released. Enjoy . . . . .

What a beauty. Fantastic paint job and the interior detail is really remarkable from the breech on the gun to the spade grips on the 08 Mg. Congratulations on a wonderful Christmas gift. -- Al

You can see in future, new collectors will be trying to find this long retired exceptional tank. Makes sense to get it while it is available. Thanks for showing. Robin.

Thanks for sharing these pics!
JJD does have the best relation quality/price for AFVs in the actual market without any doubt, get them all while you can before they are gone, congratulations!

Hi Mike,

Thanks so much for the wonderful pics. While it's true that manufacturers distribute promotional images of their sets, they virtually never do as good a job of illustrating details on a model as you've done above. Hat's off to you!:salute::

About this one, though:

Is it just me, or does the driver's compartment look like some sort of starship or something? It'll be great to see what Jenkins develops in the way of figures to man its A7V. Ought to be pretty cool.

You are very welcome Moe. I just finished watching the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still". After watching this old classic I can't really say the driver's compartment looks like a starship. It is very basic and simplistic looking as one would expect it to be for this "infancy" time period of AFV development. It's amazing how fast and far Tank development came in 20 years just prior to WWII. Looking forward to the crew figures very much . . . .

. . . . and some more

Gotta say that I was really surprised that the Germans seemed to have considered comfort for the driver and CO in terms of the rather comfy looking seats. I would have not been surprised had the seats been a basic bench or just rudimentary stools of some sort. I like the armchair look. -- Al

Al,
I can't believe your surprised German engineers consider the comfort of their drivers when designing a vehicle, its a long standing tradition know around the world and still being practiced today :wink2:.
