Are you getting these? Can you imagine WB doing versions of your Trophy Sudan sets?:)

Randy

I think these will be on the shopping list :D I wonder how well they will go with the matte finish Trophy? As soon as MKL get the first one in stock I will do a comparison;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Leave it with me Raymond, as soon as Lynn has them in stock I shall take my camera along with one of my Dervish camel riders and get a couple of comparison shots

If my calculations are right the two figures are $650. Nice but pricey

At the current rate of exchange it comes out to $485.00. These are classed as Connoisseur Style figures. Don't forget that the Durbar Elephant is $450 alone.

Apologies if I have got the wrong end of the stick, but do Trophy make matte Sudan figures/sets?

Thanks

Pete

That elephant though is a big piece and contains a lot more metal. I pre-ordered my elephant and saved 20% off the list price. You also have to figure in postage and import duty/taxes on the camels also.

Hi Pete

Unfortunately Trophy are no longer in business but when they were they had another trading arm to their Company called Dragon Crest. Dragon Crest produced Sudan figures in Matte and Gloss.

Unfortuntely for me they are out of my price range right now.Probably be close to $550 with shipping.Beautiful sets though.Does anyone know how many sets will be made of each?

Mark,

The MKL Models flyer says there will be 200 for each set of the Camel Corps mounted medic and Camel Corps mounted stretchers.

Best, Raymond.:)

Nice pics as always Martyn. I sure wish MLK would have had these two sets made in gloss similiar to the currently available camel corps in the Redcoats Series.

That sure would have piqued my interest not to mention my wallet. :D

I sure other glossy fans here would also think the same. ;)

Hi Martyn,

Thanks very much for posting the Camel Corps Ambulance sets.

In all probability, I shall pass on these matte sets.

Great looking figures, although I struggle with the title Connoisseur figures. That title reminds me of the St. Petersburg, Aeroart figures and unfortunately there is no comparison.

These are indeed great looking pieces. I'd be more inclined to purchase them if I knew there would be more matte Sudan figures to follow. Especially if said figures included Mahdist or other Sudanese combatants.

(I like to have two sides of a conflict...so while I was happy to see the new modern era figures, I would have loved if there were Argentine troops or Iranian hostage takers to put them up against)
