Has the Sudan series come to an end? There hasn't been anything new in quite awhile.
There is so much more JJD could do with this range.... hope there's more planned for the future.

I support your request for more Sudan ..... but this time covering the second expedition into Sudan so that we can see the last full lancers charge the world would ever see when the 21 Lancers charged the Fizzy Wizzy, and also the epic fusilade at Omdurman when the Lee Metford magazine rifle and the Maxim finished of the hordes of Fizzy Wizzy as a stroll in the park.....{sm3}{sm0}^&grin:cool:
Cheers

Yes! The 21st Lancers at Omdurman would be epic, with Winston Churchill and his Broomhandle Mauser.

I would at least like to see JJD finish what was started. Complete the releases for the RMLI, a piper for the Gordons, some mounted officers and more
Mahdists ( dead & wounded, more cavalry, flag bearers and a mounted Emir ).

Hi All,
I too love the Sudan series and it is one of the best sellers for John in the UK.
As such I've been chatting to him as to what we can expect and what we could add to the range.
There's still plenty we could do, some of which are touched upon in previous posts.
So, John has agreed and I'm more than happy to act as "sponsor" or "chief advocate".
To all or any interested in developing this line further simply send me an email (greygoose@spa.eclipse.co.uk) with ideas/thoughts/suggestions.
I'll then work with John to ensure the voice is heard and we/he can prioritise.
Keep 'em coming!!
Regards
Clive

Hi Clive,

I have already expressed here in the thread what would be an interesting additonal roll out, given that the series are already in place it is a question of adapting a few details and spring yet another complementary series....
Cheers

The Sudan is a great series but likely a bit obscure for many Americans. Given all that John is producing there is also the a limit on what most people can collect. WWI seems to be his recent focus. I would cast my vote for Ticonderoga as the series most in need of some new releases.

I'm not sure I completely agree about the Sudan series and Americans. Trophy's Sudan series is still quite popular with collectors, including Americans. Of course, that could be a function of Trophy being popular because the company is no longer in existence but their Sudan range seems to fetch high dollars.
