Some members have asked for a specific spot to post suggestions for King & Country.
This sub-category is not meant to deluge the company with demands but it is handy to have the various lists and ideas all in one place. It would take hours to move all the old threads to this one but I'll do my best to move a chunk of them.
Regards,

Shannon,

I think I'd leave them where they are but can start to move at least John's threads here, so they're all in one place.

I think it would be a good idea to have the "Suggestions" area set up as a "sticky thread" under each of the different manufacturers sections. That way members will see the "suggestions" thread listed first and hopefully feel less inclined to start new threads elsewhere.

Agree with that.

And the chances (if I can call that a chance) to miss an interesting suggestion will be diminished.

Pierre.

I'd actually like to see it set up as a separate forum, broken down by separate manufacturer, rather than a subforum of K & C.

Brad, I think it's likely that a separate sub forum would be overlooked. Whereas a sticky thread that is always at the top of the list under each manufacturers thread would be hard to miss.

I have been reading about the Bolshevik revolution. How about that and the Russian Civil War for a really unique series. You could have Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin as well as Red Gaurds and White anti-Bolshevik forces. A bit like Dr Zhivago. One of those Bolshevik propaganda trains painted with Bolshevik art would be great. I suppose it is a bit too off the beaten track though for most manufacturers

Since the King & Country forum is by far the most utilized it seemed to only make sense to give K&C suggestions their own area. Suggestions to most other companies receiving less posts daily are not as likely to get lost amongst the other posts, hence at this point only K&C has a separate subforum for suggestions.
Any company forum can have a specific thread entitled "Suggestions" without necessarily needing an entire subforum for them.
I feel British! I just used 'amongst' and 'hence' in a sentence.:p Seems like I should have been able to sneak a 'whilst' in there too.:D

If anyone REALLY thinks another company needs a 'suggestions' subforum I can certainly add one, I'm just afraid of cluttering up the main page unnecessarily.
Regards,

I would have made this K&C suggestions area a sticky thread but I couldn't move already posted threads into a new thread without merging them by time posted into one thread. That would have ended up in one thread that made no sense so I opted for the sub-forum instead.

Shannon,

No idea what all that means, but I like the new layout. :)

Simon, sticky threads are those that some forums have at the top/begining of a forum page and stay on top of the list despite later postings.

Thanks Oz,

I see what you mean. Must get with this whole computer thing.

No worries, those "stickies" are handy because you don't have to go looking for old but important threads.
