Anyone else seen this and what did you think guys? I caught this last night and I'm not sure how to describe it, but I guess ' Grimly enjoyable' might be the phrase. Starring Rainn Wilson (so good in the American office) and Ellen Page (brilliant and Oscar nominated for Juno) Rainn plays a would be super Hero without any super powers or super weapons. I thought it was going to be a comedy but it really wasn't and was pretty dark. At first (and when he arms himself with a monkey wrench) the violence is quite slapstick and although it can make you wince its also quite funny, but as the film progresses its obvious that both the 'Crimson Bolt' and his super sidekick girl are deranged and the violence gets worse and worse and truly unpleasant. At one point one character gets half their head blown away by a bullet and the depiction is very strong indeed. Can't say I'd watch it too often but at the same time compelling in a horrible way.

I caught it a while back and liked it. I was expecting something much lighter and like you said it went very Dark. Ellen Paige's character turns out to be Bat Sh*& crazy. If you like dark indie comedies I think it's good.

Haven't seen it but after these comments it's going on the must see list. -- Al
