Thank you to everyone who visited the London Toy Soldier Show yesterday. It was wonderful to speak to everyone who stopped to say hello and share their excitement, there was certainly a lot of exciting new things to see from everyone
who was there
John has very kindly honoured us with a surprise new release we are delighted to announce today.
APR-01 - Mr Jack Griffin

Jack Griffin was a gifted young university medical student with albinism whose specialist area was optical density. He believed he was on the verge of a great scientific discovery, but felt uncomfortable under the tutelage of his university professor. In an attempt to secure sole credit for his discovery, he dropped out of university and moved into a dingy apartment to continue his experiments alone.
To finance his experiments, Griffin robbed his own father, who sadly took his own life after the theft, because the money had not been his own. Working reclusively in his flat, Jack invented a formula to bend light and reduce the refractive index of physical objects. Forced to rush his experiments due to persistent intrusion from his landlord, he continued the experiments upon himself and set fire to the building to cover his tracks. He ended up alone, wandering the streets of London struggling to survive out in the open, unseen by those around him. To blend in with the crowd he stole some clothes from a dingy backstreet theatre shop, including a trench coat and hat. He wrapped his head in bandages to conceal himself, covering his eyes with large dark goggles. He took up residence in the Coach and Horses Inn in the quiet village of Iping, to try to reverse his experiment, but complications arose with locals unnerved by his appearance. As a result, his progress slowed and he had insufficient funds to satisfy the pub landlord. To pay the bill, Griffin burgled the home of Reverend Bunting which lead the police to come after him at which point he threw off his clothes and escaped.
Now driven insane by his inability to reverse the experiment, Griffin sought assistance from a tramp named Thomas Marvel. He had Marvel carry money for him, but Marvel betrayed Griffin and ran away with the money. Jack pursued Thomas to the town of Port Burdock, and there ran into his old schoolmate Dr. Arthur Kemp. Griffin attempted to convince Kemp to help him begin a reign of terror. Kemp, rather than assisting the crazed Griffin, alerted Colonel Adye of the Port Burdock police.
Furious, and still intent on world domination, Griffin vowed to kill Kemp, as the first execution in the reign of terror. He ultimately failed when Kemp rallied the people of Port Burdock, who found and mobbed Griffin, who was cornered and killed by Navy workers.
Sadly, no price or release date is currently available because unfortunately John is yet to find where he put the pre-paint master.
