Hi Guys
Any news or photos on the symposium is Andy giving a special figure for the event:D
Regards Scott

I took some photos of participants at Saturday's event and a few at the dinner (which I will post later) but none of the Show today.

As for news, I can't remember everything so others please chime in. There will be some more poly and wooden airplanes this year. Poly includes a Stuka and a Spitfire. No news there but Andy was concerned that putting out too many would be economically difficult for collectors so not that many this year. No plans to go into Sudan/NW frontier. Some Am Rev later this year (I believe). Around Chicago, he will have something more for Sons of Empire. Working on something for Ancient Egypt (I think). Plans later this year to do a limited edition for Civil War. Much to Tom's disappointment, it will be Union; wouldn't specify more than that. Would have liked to have done something special for Dunkirk but that didn't work out so nothing on that this year. Thinks Firefly will do very well. Financially, K & C is doing very well this year, one of the better years ever. I'm sure I'll remember more things but that is what comes to mind right now.

Here are some photos.

In the first photo, Andy was talking to Michelle, whose son and Louis' son Alec are classmates. Michelle was a very fascinating person. She's a novelist writing about WW II, with a passion for the subject.

In the third photo, to the right we see Andy Huff from Pennsylvania, a heck of a nice guy.

In the last photo is Bruce Whitman, a board member of the D Day Museum in New Orleans and a board member of the Medal of Honor foundation. Bruce, who is very distinguished, flew a B 25 in WW II.

Next set of photos.

Interspersed through these photos are some parts of Louis' collection.

In the third photo, you see Rich Schuster (hope I spelled that right), who I believe is Nysoldiers on here.

In the fourth photo, there is Tom, probably making a deal for some Trophy :)

In the last photo, we see Clive on the right side of the photo.

Nice one Brad, thanks for taking the time to post these.

While Clive is swanning around in NY, I might have to speak with Sue, and see if I can clear out his stock for a couple of quid. :)

Brad, Thank you very much for taking the time to take and post the photos.:)

Best Regards,
Vick

Clive was clearly happy: got his Somerset Camels yesterday and he picked up a Trophy set today.

On with the show :)

In the third photo, the chap on the right is Howard Woods, our mate from Australia.

In the fifth photo, the person in foreground, with his back to the camera, is Joe Roy, a big Napoleonics collector and the person on the right is Tim Tyler of Troops of Time.

Brad

Thank you for posting & sharing. How do you manage so many guys in a room full of open toy soldier displays ... makes one break out in cold sweat, just thinking of it

So, how did our pal Ron take Andy's announcement that that the Nap line is to be retired  ... with the exception of the mounted Marshall Ney, of course. :)

OD

At dinner on Friday night, I asked Andy to tell Ron that Napoleonics had been retired but he couldn't do it with a straight face. Ron saw right through me:D

And more photos, including dinner that night at Larry's restaurant, Tse-Yang.

Second photo is Hans Hedrich, probably looking none too happy when I called his name :)

Fourth photo: Capitol Ron in all his glory!

:D :D :D

Here's hoping that there's going to be a couple of huge Nap bands round the corner .. one French & one British/Scottish. That will make Ron and a lot of other folks, perhaps even yourself very happy. :)

Best wishes.

OD

Last set! I guess Clive gets the last word in.
