Seems an outstanding idea to me. This is a vehicle that could sell many multiples to a 1914 collector.:wink2: By the way, Andy, where is the famous French 75mm gun? Doing 1914 without the 75mm is like doing the Battle of Britain without the Spitfire. -- Al

On Planet Figure a man name Bob Tavis did a wonderful dio called Taxi de la Marne which is simply outstanding.

I cannot find any 1/32 or near scale Renault Taxi de La Marne in the internet

The closest thing that I saw was this Ford Model T 1911 Town car. I want to do a La Marne diorama

What do you guys think of this?

unfortunately this is in 1:43 scale but it is nice, the 1:30 by K&C would be great

In addition to Renault AG, some of the Taxis were Panhards, Clement-Bayards and Peugeots.

K&C did a 75mm as part of Forces of Battle series in 2007, as FOB031

so maybe the mould for the gun could be re-used and then have a new 1914 gun crew in kepi, red torusers adn blue jackets?

It could also be a limited run with a 1917 crew as well wearing horizon blue and helmets?

JOhn

Excellent ideas. I'm in for a battery's worth of the 1914 gun/uniform version. I would also buy an example in horizon blue and helmets. And don't forget the caisson. Just note that the French gunners uniform of 1914 was all dark blue, with red trim. No red trousers. :smile2: -- Al

Yes , excellent pinpointing..maybe i'm too critic of K&C in this case but poor research gave us the 1914 German Gun Crew with pointed Pickelhaube instead of the ball one..an error unexplicable by the fact that the officer has the right helmet ....

Hey guys, this is the TAXI Thread

SO My vote is
TAXI FIRST

the 1914 Artillery crew in black trousers is fine
but the grey 7 cannon is in ebay from Hachette/Atlaya for cheap

Ur right lancer Bingo
That would make an awsome artillery set
Really like the uniforms

How about both at the same time.{bravo}}^&grin{eek3}
