This French knight is described as a being a Templar, but he has the red tunic with white cross that was characeristic of the Hospitallers. Any opinions on this? Perhaps I don't know something regarding French Templars? Thanks. George

You are absolutely right George, he is dressed like an hospitaller, with a weird shield...{sm4}

I'm obliged to be pretty selective with this range but I'm quite keen on this figure. The white horse and the white headgear (what is that thing called??), with the other flecks of colour really work for me. I think it's good to see his face too!

In the Christmas 2011 issue of King & Country's "Collector Magazine", I just saw the following: The Knight bearing the red shield with the yellow chevron levels his lance about to charge...the other is a "Hospitaller", recognisable by his red surcoat with white cross. He steadies his horse while drawing his sword. Under the picture of the these two mounted knights is the following.......Coming soon: Another French Knight and a mounted Templar. I'm not sure if that last "coming soon" statement is in regard to the two described mounted knights, or if it means another mounted knight, this time a Templar, is on the horizon.

It looks like he is wearing a keffiya on his head like the locals do.

I have this one and it is a very nice, quite unique figure, with the keffiya, white and grey horse and lion with cross on the shield. I like the animation of this one, in that he is in the process of drawing his sword.
