I don't know if any of you guys are going to the Texas show this year. However, it should be good, Nick form TSSD is going to debut some new buildings, Paragon will be debutting his Cavalry and Apaches and Figarto and First Legion are supposed to be there. Plus those of you that have been hankering for a Gibbs Custer set will get your chance as I'll have like 5 sets there. No telling what surprises Ron Barzso will have in store for us, plus the Alamo is right next door to the show.

I'm going...leaving Friday morning and staying at the Holiday Inn River Walk...anybody else going?

I'll be there for the weekend, staying at the Druiry on the Riverwalk, looking forward to my first show.

I,ll be there Friday afternoon. Staying at the Mengar Hotel. Is that hotel OK, seems no one else is staying there!

I have stayed at the Menger at least a dozen times...the rooms are small and dated...but clean.. it was a pleasant experience every time...KingsX is located in the downstairs in the beautiful lobby...they have a great buffet breakfast...a quiet bar and of course the convenience of having the show in the building is a major plus...I'm staying at the Holiday Inn River Walk...

plus you get the benefit of the ghosts walking the hallways...

I'm staying there, it's a fine hotel with a fine bar and a great location. I'll be there starting Wednesday afternoon. I'm not afraid of no ghosts.

I was there Halloween weekend in 2008, we stayed at a place called Hotel Contessa on the riverwalk, it was peaceful and quiet on that part of the riverwalk and still a close walk to the alamo. From our window you could see the flowery top of the round building in la villita, where the show use to be, so if you're familiar with that building, it's close to it. It was a nice place, great breakfast buffett, plenty of room to sit inside or outside to have some drinks later at night.
