Hello,
the new spartans are really very nice. I haven't got but I think to buy some of them.
How do they fit with the FL hoplites ? Has someone both series and pictures ?
Can they stand side by side ?
Thank you for an answer .

We do not have any FL pieces here from that range but will try and borrow a figure and stand it next to one of ours, stand by for photos soon!

I've seen a photo of one of the new Immortal's to be released and my first impressions are rather disappointing. I was expecting them to look similar to the warriors shown in the film The 300 Spartans but they appear vastly different. Conte recreated figures with a good likeness to the film and KC portrayed their Persian figures with head garments and wicker shields more fitting to what i believe was worn. The photo i saw was of a figure with a crested helmet and metal shield. I know it is early days and i will make my final decisions when i actually see the figures but i had counted on acquiring quite a number of these to oppose my growing Spartan collection. Regards Greg.

I have all of the FL Greeks (Except the recent releases) and 8 or so TGM Spartans. I am doing a diorama with Macedon vs. Sparta. I believe they look just fine against one another.

Agreed. I have TG, FL and K&C together. See Gary's collection thread in Dioramas section.

I picked up the TG Spartans at the Chicago show.
Before I did thou, I spent Friday in the rooms comparing all three companies offerings
All three work well in my view with one another.
FL may stand a hair taller but not so you'd notice.

I hope this not the way things turn out. I am perfectly ok with the Immortals wearing Persepolis dress (which would be a sort of "dress uniform"), or with them wearing the standard Persian clothing (preferably with Nick Secunda's research on clothing colors). Although I love the movie 300 Spartans (NOT "The 300), I would prefer not to have those costumes. However, verses some made-up version, even they would be preferable. Keeping my fingers crossed. They really should release pictures for discussion with their buyers before committing to produce ancient miniatures.
