While I am attending college this year to become a Historian, I have really enjoyed learning about the Roman Empire, specifically, it's legions. One of the more impressive feats, in my opinion was its ability to build encampments in only a few hours that provided the camp with protection as most troops slept. Even more impressive was Rome's ability to take ideas and perfect them, especially when it came to crucifixion. Although of Assyrian origin, Crucifixion has become synonymous with Rome. This dreaded practice, like many other innovations allowed for the Empire to expand its borders for hundreds of years.
Quick side note, I understand that crucifixion began its use in the empire near the 3rd century BC but decided to highlight various companies at work over the weekend, especially that of Mr. Jenkins.
I hope you enjoy the picture!
